In 1964, Mechoulam discovered THC, the cannabinoid most famous for its intoxicating effect. The find in turn led to the discovery of the endocannabinoid system (ECS). This has led to a plethora of medical professionals moving towards the Cannabis and Hemp spaces – and has led to a wider acceptance of Cannabinoid Medicine for patients.
This migration is slowly but steadily increasing as nurses and doctors learn more and more by the day.
